Handover Test Systems

Handover test systems, also known as mesh attenuation systems, are used to assess the performance of three or more interconnected wireless devices under real-world operating conditions within the controlled space of a lab environment.

Device manufacturers and network engineers use handover test systems and their various signal attenuation mechanisms to simulate the complex effects of variables like distance and interference. This helps to improve the robustness of their network and optimize the performance of their RF equipment.

Adaura Technologies’ cost-effective handover test systems give engineers the full flexibility and features they need to carry out dynamic, comprehensive wireless mesh testing—including for modern Wi-Fi (6 and 6E), MIMO, LTE, 5G and 6G use cases. Designed for maximum configurability and customization on the test bench, Adaura systems cover a wide frequency range of 500 MHz to 6,000 MHz and offer up to 512 connections with 95dB of attenuation in step sizes of just 0.25dB.

Like the rest of our product portfolio, our handover test systems are valued not only for their affordability but their simplicity and scope of control. AdauraTech attenuators can be easily programed for fixed attenuation, swept attenuation ramps as well fading profiles directly from the built-in graphical user interface (GUI). They can be controlled via USB and Ethernet, and new Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities allow our units to be powered over the same data connection to reduce cable clutter.

This extensibility and ease of use makes AdauraTech’s systems ideal for deployment in semiconductor test and qualification labs as well as specialized automated test equipment (ATE).
